2.       18 Holes Stroke     Boys Club Handicap 15 to 27 Gross and Nett Trophies

3.       18 Holes Stroke     Girls Club Handicap – Gross and Nett Trophies

          Longest Drives       Boys - Girls

 CONDITIONS

1.             To qualify persons must be UNDER 18 YEARS on 12th September, 2011

2.             Entry of $20.00 per player must accompany Entry Form.

3.             Handicaps, must be proven or granted by Junior Club Manager.

4.             A tie for Championships will be decided by Sudden Death Play-Off.

5.             The Match Committee of Surfers Paradise Golf Club will control the Tournament.

                The decision of the Match Committee is final

6.             Motorised buggies are not permitted.

7.             NO Caddies are permitted.

8.             One trophy only can be won.

9.             No metal spikes permitted, No sockets, Shorts must have a belt.

10.          Closing date for entries is 5.00 p.m. Monday 24th September, 2012

11.              Clubs will be advised of starting times on Wednesday 26th September, 2012

Congratulations Dave.

The City of Cairns Open was held last weekend at Cairns GC and was played over 54 holes. In a hard fought Championship CTH member Dave Morrison lost out to Townsville GC’s Jason Smith in a sudden death playoff.  Well played Dave.

MEETING RE. WEST GREENS TONIGHT!

At their July meeting the Board of Directors agreed in principle with a recommendation from the Golf Management Committee to change  the grass type on the West course greens to “TifEagle” couchgrass.

An information meeting for all members will be held TONIGHT Wednesday 22nd August following golf presentations at 6.00pm approximately.

VETERAN GOLFERS


I have been approached by the lady captain Susan Mundy seeking our assistance for the WGGC Meg Nunn competition that will be played at the club on 10th,11th,13th and 14th September.

The ladies are looking for ball spotters and bunker rakers both for the morning and afternoon on the first 3 days and morning only for the last day being Friday 14th, if you can assist there will be a sheet on the notice board to record your name.

I am aware that we have a visit to Keperra scheduled for Monday10th and our own competition on the Thursday 13th however please lend a hand if you can.

The nomination sheet for CTH Veteran members will be available on the notice board from Thursday 23rd August and will close on 20th September, cost is $16 which includes lunch. PLEASE ENSURE YOU PUT MONEY IN ENVELOPE WHEN NOMINATING - REMEMBER NO MONEY NO PLAY.

This is an Open Day and the opportunity to play with visiting golfers and as such it is preferred that we mix our fours up to include 2 CTH members with 2 visitors, please consider when you book.

BOOKING TIMES - In view that we now book on Tuesdays at 5pm there is no need to book 2 weeks ahead prior to shotgun starts as was previously the case, this change is immediate.

Attention Veteran Members

"Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Veterans have been invited to a Mixed Veterans Day at Keperra Golf Club on Monday 10th September 2012.

It will be an 8.30am Shotgun start and cost is $20, carts can be reserved at $25.

Assuming we get sufficient numbers we will arrange for a bus that will leave the buggy shed at 6am sharp.

Nomination sheet will be available on Thursday in the members lounge and will close the following Thursday 23rd August, ALL NOMINATIONS MUST INCLUDE PAYMENT - NO MONEY NO PLAY."

West Course Greens

Meg Nunn Ladies Interstate Competition

This prestigious event is being held at CTH from 9th - 14th September 2012 and is a four day match play competition.

Congratulations to Sue Reguson and Pam Ford who are the first two ladies to be selected for the Gold Coast team. This is an on-going selection process with four more to be named. 

During this week the Ladies Tuesday competition will be a single stableford on the West course with the 2nd round of our Foursomes match-play on the River in between the Meg Nunn competitions. On Thursday again a single stableford will be played in between the Meg Nunn competition with tee–times from 9am – 11.15.
