2012 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting which was to be held on Thursday 22nd November 2012 was deferred as the numbers required were not sufficient (100 members) as per our Constitution 8.7.

The meeting will now be held on Thursday 29th November at 7.30pm DST in the Members Lounge.

Under the Constitution 8.7, "if at such adjourned meeting a quorum is not present, the full voting members who are present shall be a quorum and may transact the business for which the meeting was called".

Australian PGA Championship offer

Attention Members

1. After lengthy discussion and improved pace of play, the match committee has decided to remove the compulsory call-ups from all Par 3’s. However we do ask that common sense is used and calling up is still an option if the next tee is occupied, or there are groups starting to bank up on the tee.
 

2. We will continue to monitor the pace of play, yes it has improved, which i think everyone is enjoying, however all we ask is that you maintain your place in the field by keeping up with the group in front. If this means marking cards after teeing off, or a slightly shorter break at 1/2 way, then it becomes the responsibility of the group behind to keep up with you.

3. The lack of the use of rakes in the bunkers is also a concern, please consider your fellow golfers when leaving a bunker, if you rake it the way you would like to find it, hopefully everybody else will follow suit.

CTH Veterans Christmas Luncheon 13th December

This will be an 8.30am Shotgun start on the West course.

The sheet is on the board in the members lounge (Thursdays) and will close STRICTLY on 6th December which leaves little time to undertake the draw, post on website and confirm catering arrangements. If you miss closing date you may miss out.

Please note that luncheon will be held in the club auditorium from approximately 1pm and will include presentations to major winners since July and also our championship winners.

Australian Legends Tour Championship at Byron Bay GC

The Byron Bay Golf Club annually hosts the Australian Legends Tour Championship.

This year the event will take place from Tuesday December 18th - Thursday December 20th.

The field this year has attracted a who's who of past and even present Australian Golf including -

This event has been moved to Saturday 24th November (was 10th November).

It is a 12.30pm DST Shotgun start on the River course with the West course as normal.

The CTH Veterans will now be sponsoring the 17th November.

Don't forget the ever popular Shamies Day is coming up on Sunday 18th November on the West course. This is a 9am DST Shotgun start with Presentations to follow in the Members Lounge.

VETERANS SHOTGUN START 8TH NOVEMBER

Due to some unknown reason to me the sheet for next week was opened prior the draw being completed, this is not customary and accordingly all names have been deleted.

The draw for next week will be done tomorrow Friday 2nd November and posted on the internet same day.

If you had previously booked on the net and NOT on the nomination sheet you will need to rebook after the draw has been posted, there will be open time slots on holes to accommodate. Please do so promptly has catering needs to be confirmed Monday 5th November.
