Our two teams fought extremely hard in their Pennant matches Grade 1 scored 18½ points coming second by half point to Ocean Shores. Grade 2 also came second with 22½ points two points behind Byron Bay. Congratulations to both team captains Maureen McGlone and Di Frankland who won all their matches. The Grade 1 & 2 finals between Ocean Shores and Maclean and Byron Bay and Maclean were both won by Maclean.

The rain came yet again but this didn’t deter the hardy golfers and it turned out to be a good day. Congratulations to Div1 Foursomes Champions, Michelle Gunawan and Tyla Smith with 130 gross - runners up were Maryanne Bailey and Susan Price with 131. Div2 Helen Medson & Carmen Sawyer 158 Div3 Elizabeth Browne & Ria Vander Woude 172. The Nett winners – Div 1 Maureen McGlone & Susan Mundy 114½ - Div2 Margaret Carroll & Roz Green 122, Div3 Ann Kemp & Judy Neck124½. Hole in One
Congratulations to Jan Hamilton who had a hole-in-one,17th West on 8th July.
Junior Girls
Dee Dee Russell was chosen to compete in the Gold Coast Junior Jug Team at Yeppoon. Seven teams with 3 girls per team from Queensland compete for 5 days playing 36 holes each day. The Gold Cost Team came a creditable 3rd with Dee Dee being the most successful team member. To be chosen to compete in this event is a huge achievement.
